Our 2024 Holiday Applications are now open!
Please read the information on our “This Year's Holidays” page before applying for a place.
We are running fewer holidays this year. This means that unfortunately we are having to support fewer families. We are first and foremost an Inclusion driven organisation. This means that when our team look to create a holiday, they consider a wide range of factors but at the heart of decisions has to be the potential friendships that will be formed.
This does mean that we do not operate on a first come first served basis or prioritise those that have applied several times. Whilst this is disappointing news, we ask that all applicants please be respectful of the challenging decisions that our voluntary team face. On average for each place on a holiday we receive 52 applications.
For each camp we have a limited number of participant places. On average, we try to take between 20-24 children on our ‘Junior’, ‘Senior’ and ‘Venture Camps’.
We have only a very small number of places available on our ‘Discovery Camp’ for young people with Severe Learning Disabilities and other additional needs.
Each holiday is a careful balancing act that considers the number of volunteer carers, their skills and the combined needs of all young people on that camp.
Following an application a member of our team may reach out to speak to you over the phone or arrange a virtual meeting via Zoom. This is a step in our allocations process, not a guarantee that a place on a holiday will be offered.
We aim to respond to all holiday applications within 3 weeks of receiving the application. Please note that a place on a holiday is never guaranteed and a place on a holiday will only be confirmed after a camp leader has visited you and provided a participant information pack.
