How do we Pay for it All?

Each year we take about 230 children and volunteers on holiday. To do this we need to raise about £80,000 each year. That's about £350 for every person on a camp.

Almost half of the funds are generously provided by Charitable Trust Funds around the country. The rest is raised by a combination of street collections, fund raising events, parental contributions and volunteer sponsorships to meet the target needed for the summer.

Raising this much money is a significant challenge. Each year it becomes harder to collect the funds needed. Although the National Lottery has benefited many good causes, the side-effect has been that people give less to local charities who in turn do not have the resources to successfully apply for grants year on year.

If you would like to contribute, please send cheques, payable to 'Birmingham PHAB Camps' to the treasurer whose address is on the contact page.
