Senior Camp 2009

I can quite safely say that 2009 was one of the best Senior Camps ever!

The week got off to a bang as the Roman named teams fought it out for points by completing photo challenges in Chester such as dancing with as many members of public as possible, doing the YMCA and having photos with policemen and Romans. Each team had the added responsibility of being in charge of the Senior Camp placard, which had to appear in as many photos as possible! The rest of the week involved trips such as going to the falconry centre, bowling, sailing and swimming. Everyone also got to try their hand at making some pottery with some impressive results!

There was also a surprise in store for everyone as we got a little bit lost in Manchester and ended up doing a tour of Old Trafford which was enjoyed by all.

Our last night party was a Seventies theme and everyone looked fab, wearing their tie dyed t-shirts that were made earlier in the week. Before we boogied the night away though, there some fantastic performances as everyone entertained us in 'PHABs got talent'.

Saturday came all too quickly, team Augustus were declared the winners and an extremely tired, but happy, group of amazing children and volunteers returned home to Birmingham for some well earned sleep.
